Manerix is an effective medicine for the treatment of forms of depression and social anxiety. The drug is a potent yet short-term reversible inhibitor of the monoamine oxidase. It is a derivative of benzamide and essentially treats several stages of depression by inhibiting the reuptake of neurotransmitters like dopamine, serotonin and norepinephrine.
