Depression originates from the consistent feeling of over-stressed, series of bad events, injury to one’s self esteem, loss of self worth. Generally, people suffering from this state of mind end up drawing no hopes for life and herein begins procrastination. It is known that procrastination is common and each one of us is overwhelmed by it at some stage of life.
However, depression is known to make it worse and the person loses interest in completing a work which should have been completed. It is important to known that depression does not cause procrastination, however, a depressive state of mind can feed this state of mind also make it worse. On the other hand, too much of procrastinating when the person is not involving into any action which must be taken can lead to depression.
There are ways to overcome this state of mind by putting in little efforts to exactly learn why one is procrastinating. This can be easily done by penning down all those contributors that dissuade him from taking any actions in life. Secondly, listening to motivating music or watching inspiring movies also helps a great deal in overcoming one’s state of mind. One may also start noting down the affirmations and read them aloud regularly for self-inspiration
