Norpramin - In What Condition Norpramin Is Prescribed

Norpramin is used to treat depression in patients and it is approved by FDA, and can be used to treat nocturnal enuresis, various compositions of this drug are used to treat migraine, irritable bowel syndrome and panic disorders. This antidepressant  norpramin is also prescribed to reduce ADHD symptoms.

Hepatic enzyme metabolizes this drug in the liver, always a low dosage of this drug is recommended, to avoid toxicity during long term treatment. Blood testing with the use of norpramin are to be obtained. A maximum of up to 150mg per day should be given to a patient under supervision of the doctor. In the treatment of nocturnal enuresis small dosage of the drug has to be given with a longer period under ECG examination
 Migraine associated medical conditions can also be treated using this antidepressant.

Norpramin should not be immediately given to the patient recovered from heart attack, if this drug is used without taking any gap after the usage of MAO inhibitors like phenelzine or tranylcypromine may cause severe convulsions. Norpramin can also be used to treat other disorders with symptoms like stabbing pain, aches that last for longer period of time and this also helps to reduce the habit of smoking.
