Pamelor is a drug used as an antidepressant; nortriptyline also has some side effects and it is a hypo chloride salt of tricycles structure.
Taking Pamelor as an antidepressant has some side effects though it is the best drug for antidepressant patients, side effects are similar like dry mouth, weakness, drowsiness, difficult in urination, constipation. There can also be over excitement or anxiety, weight gain, abnormal vision, changes in sex drive ability, sweating these can also be considered as symptoms of side effects.
The severe effects of pamelor are severe body pains, muscle spasms, fever, uncontrolled shaking of body, imbalanced walking or speech, irregular heart beat are the major problems of dosage of this drug. The symptoms of over dosage are vomiting, seeing things, which do not exist (hallucination), decrease in body temperature abnormally and pupils widened.
In order to avoid the side effects of this drug to be minimized includes avoiding consumption of alcohol during the course of this drug. Precautions like using other drugs associated with this drug should be avoided due to reaction between these drugs causing serious health effects.
