HOW TO TAKE NEFAZODONE

Nefazodone is an antidepressant drug which can be taken by adults twice a day with a composition of 50mg in the form of a tablet. The dosage should be taken only under the supervision of the doctor, because over dosage of any drug may lead to serious health problems, patients with severe depression can be treated with the dosage of up to 600mg/day but only with the prescription of the doctor.

Before taking this drug the patient has to take some precautions, the patient should not use any other drug which leads to unwanted reaction with Nefazodone and cause side effects. The patient should not take Xanax, Hismanal, Propulsid or any other inhibitors of MAO before using Nefazodone because they may react with each other and cause health effects. The patients has to take care that he has not used any anticoagulant drugs like warfarin, digoxin, Haldol, drugs for blood pressure, asthma, cold or any allergies recently to avoid the side effects due to reaction of these drugs. The patient taking Nefazodone should avoid the consumption of alcohol during the usage of this drug.

Over dosage of this drug has to be avoided to over come the side effects like weakness, blurred vision, changes in weight, sexual dysfunction and other side effects.  In the case of any over dosage consult your doctor and seek immediate medical treatment.
